Business Short Stay Visas (up to 3 months) (Non Greek)

Greek Applicants do not need to approach this office to apply for a Business Short Stay Visa as they are eligible to apply online for an Electronic Travel Authority 977 visa.

• Please make sure you provide documents listed below when you lodge your visa application.
  If you do not provide all of the documents, a decision will be made based on the information provided in your application. 
   
• Please ensure you provide original or certified copies of all documents together with english translations by a registered translator. 

1. FORM 456 – please ensure all questions are answered and the form is signed
2. Evidence of payment of the 456 VISA APPLICATION CHARGE, which is 65 Euros as at 1/7/2008. This should be by either: bank cheque made payable to the Australian Embassy, Athens and drawn on a bank which has a head office in Athens or by credit card, by including credit card information and authority with your application. NOTE: There are no application charges for applicants from EU countries applying for visa 456.
3. A passport sized PHOTOGRAPH – less than one year old
4. A valid PASSPORT, valid for your planned period of stay in Australia
5. Evidence of your residence status in Greece (i.e. a valid residence permit)
6. A clear itinerary or plan of your proposed business activities in Australia.
   - You should also include an original SIGNED letter of invitation from the principal business, organisation or contact in Australia. If they are funding the visit this should be included in this letter.
7. Evidence of your EMPLOYMENT/BUSINESS STATUS. Please provide:
   - if employee – a letter from employer supporting the business trip also include your length of employment, salary and position.
   - if self-employed – evidence of business registration with authorities and financial status of the business (bank statement, annual reports)
8. If you are married, please provide a copy of your MARRIAGE CERTIFICATE
9. EVIDENCE OF FUNDS (e.g. bank statement from either the inviting business, organisation or contact in Australia OR the applicant. This account must be older than 3 months prior to lodging your application.
10. If you are 70 years of age or over you will be required to undergo medical examination to determine your fitness to travel. You will be advised how and where this examination is to be done once your application has been assessed .
11. If you are 70 years of age or over you must provide evidence that you have HEALTH INSURANCE
